The British Cheese Board has recruited model Nell McAndrew (above) in its latest promotion.

To coincide with National Smile Week, the BCB launched a nationwide quest, fronted by McAndrew, to find the child with the cheesiest grin.

The campaign is designed to raise awareness of the dental benefits of eating cheese.

Nigel White, from the BCB, said: “Not only does it taste great, cheese has an important part to play in keeping teeth and bones strong and healthy.”

Waitrose has announced plans to list an award-winning goats cheese camembert. Soignon’s Chevre de Caractere, supreme champion at the World Cheese Awards, is a raw goats milk camembert from Dange Saint Romain in France.

Chris Dawson, cheese buyer for Waitrose, said: “The listing of this cheese reinforces Waitrose’s commitment to provide an outstanding quality assortment of cheeses.”
