Nestlé Rowntree is to relaunch its Munchies confectionery brand with new packaging designs and a hanging bag format. The company said it plans to push the chocolate treat into the 21st century, with new impulse packs featuring eight different straplines which it claims will provide the brand with a more contemporary feel. New outers will contain a selection of all eight, with consumers able to choose from Nibble Me, Munch Me, Fancy Me, You want Me, Take Me, Devour Me, Scoff Me and Me Me Me. Sales communications manager Graham Walker said the new packs would inject a "real sense of mischief" into the brand. The new hanging bag, which gets its first outing on relaunch day, March 11, will have an rsp of £1.15 while the munchies impulse packs will retail at 44p. The relaunch will be supported by ads in a number of women's magazines. "It's a long time since we've put so much support behind Munchies and we're confident the new look and new hanging bag format will be instrumental in driving repeat purchase and attracting new and younger users," said Walker. {{P&P }}
