Crosta & Mollica has launched a range of Italian-inspired frozen ready meals into Ocado.
Four recipes – Lasagne al Ragù, Lasagne alle Verdure, Aubergine Parmigiana and Linguine alla Pescatora – have rolled into the retailer (rsp: £5).
All serve one person as a main dish and are ready after 35-40 minutes in the oven – except for Linguine alla Pescatora, which can be pan-cooked in seven minutes.
Called Al Forno, the range captured “the rich Italian flavours created when a dish has been gently bubbling away in the oven over a long period of time”, it said.
The dishes used “simple, natural ingredients, authentic recipes and time-honoured methods” to allow shoppers to “enjoy the true taste of Italian cooking without the hassle”, the brand added.
The meals are the latest launch in a steady stream of innovation from the brand, which has debuted a range of dried pasta and pasta sauces, a gelato line, a new ‘luxury’ tiramisu, a range of frozen tartufi, and a plant-based, non-HFSS pizza over recent months.
