The meals contain all 26 essential vitamins and minerals

Meal replacement brand Jimmy Joy is moving into pot noodles.

The supplier, which currently supplies a range of shakes and bars, is making its hot food debut with instant meal ‘Plenny Pots’.

The range, like other pot noodles on the market, requires only the addition of boiling water. Each pot claims to provide a “nutritionally complete, plant-based meal”, providing all 26 essential vitamins and minerals needed for a healthy body, including 20g protein, 6.5g-12g fibre and 400 calories per 300g pot (rsp: £2.72).

Three SKUs have rolled out: Creamy Cajun Pasta, Tikka Masala Lentils and Vegetable Korma Rice. They are available directly from the brand online.

Each pot is claimed to be made with whole foods and natural ingredients. The Creamy Cajun Pasta contains pasta, black beans, mushrooms, onions, peppers and herbs, Tikka Masala Lentils is made of green lentils, white rice, pea and soy proteins and spices, while Vegetable Korma Rice contains white rice, pea and soy proteins and turmeric.

Jimmy Joy founder & CEO Joey van Koningsbruggen said the launch was “an exciting step in our commitment to providing people with the healthiest, most convenient meals possible – with minimal impact on the planet”.
