hedgepig gin liqueur

50p from each bottle sold will go to The British Hedgehog Preservation Society

Posh pink gin brand Pinkster has boosted its range of ‘Hedgepig’ gin liqueurs with a trio of new drinks.

It has added Cambridge Gage (28% abv), Glorious Gooseberry (27% abv) and Zesty Elderflower (29.8% abv) flavours to the range in 50cl bottles. They are all made with fruit grown in orchards local to the brand’s Cambridgeshire base (rsp: £36).

“While Pinkster will always be the flagship brand, Hedgepig allows us to indulge our passion for making gin with fresh fruit to create unusual handcrafted liqueurs,” said Pinkster MD Stephen Marsh, adding he wanted to establish Hedgepig as “the definitive pudding gin” thanks to the fact the new flavours were “all suited to accompanying cheese and desserts”.

To mark the launch, Pinkster has teamed up with The British Hedgehog Preservation Society, with 50p from every bottle sold going to hedgehog conservation and care. The tie-up is being promoted across Hedgepig’s bottle stickers and PoS.

Pinkster recently kicked off a “six-figure” investment into its core gin, unveiling a new bottle design, slogan and a fresh ad campaign based on ‘the dos and don’ts of pink gin’, designed to play up the brand’s seasonal credentials and that it uses real raspberries in production rather than flavouring.
