It follows the launch of Smirnoff Raspberry Crush earlier this year

Smirnoff has boosted its range of flavoured vodkas with a new Mango & Passionfruit flavour.

The drink (37.5% abv) blends the two tropical fruits and is touted as being “bursting with flavour”.

Diageo is recommending it be served as a long drink over ice mixed with lemonade and garnished with a slice of lime or passionfruit.

It’s the second new flavoured vodka from Smirnoff this year: summer saw the brand roll out a Raspberry Crush drink, which Diageo said had racked in £6m in retail value sales in 10 weeks on the market.

Smirnoff Mango & Passionfruit “echoes the vibrant, fun and bold new packaging Raspberry Crush is now also known for, emulating the fruit flavours and guaranteeing on-shelf appeal”, said the spirits giant.

Diageo had “strong ambitions” for its flavoured range, said its head of Smirnoff GB Nick Payman. “As we know vodka flavours are growing at a rapid rate, there is huge opportunity to continue expanding and developing our portfolio.”

The drink will roll into Tesco and Booker this week, with a wider grocery and on-trade launch to follow from March 2022 (rsp: £16.50/70cl).
