Squeaky Bean has added four new chicken-style pieces inspired by top-selling takeaway dishes.
They are: Kickin’ Katsu Curry and Sticky Chinese Style ‘Ribs’, which hit Sainsbury’s this week, Crispy Duck Style Pieces with Hoisin Sauce & Pancakes, which will hit Waitrose from 11 January, and Garlic & Herb Chicken Style Pieces, which went into Waitrose on 30 December (rsp: £3-£4).
The range filled “the gap between scratch cooking and ready-to-eat food, while offering a plant-based alternative packed with flavour”, said Squeaky Bean co-creator Sarah Augustine.
The brand “wanted to bring these much-loved flavours to home kitchens – and make them just as easy to enjoy,” she added.
