Wingman Products - supplier of male grooming brand Wingman - is set to make its first foray into hair styling and facial skincare.

It is launching a new haircare sub-brand called Rebel, positioned as a “more premium offering” than its Wingman 3-in-1 shower, shampoo and shaving gel range, which launched in 495 Tescos a year ago.

Set to roll out before Christmas, Rebel will comprise five products - sculpting wax, moulding clay, fibre paste, defining cream and a shaping putty (rsp: £9.99/75g). Listing have yet to be confirmed.

Wingman Products founder Stuart Jolley said Rebel was intended to tap the rise of “cool lifestyle barber shops” across the country.

Wingman is also rolling out Skin Fuels - a five-strong range comprising two moisturisers (rsp: £5.99/100ml), two face washes (rsp: £3.99/150ml) and a face scrub (rsp: £4.49/150ml). The NPD is due to launch at the beginning of 2015, together with four hair & body washes, which will be available in Black Pepper & Spice, Wild Guava & Kiwi, Citrus & Coconut and Cool Mint & Tea Tree (£2.49/250ml).

Jolley predicted Wingman would reach £2m turnover by 2016.

“The brand has received a positive reaction from consumers and retailers, and establishing a full range of products is vital to our success,” he said. “The NPD we roll out will not be the last as we want to play a key role in the growth of the category.”

The shower gels are sold in Tesco, Waitrose and WH Smith travel stores.
