He is a chartered surveyor and has worked as a consultant for Victoria Wine and Thresher. Philip Sellwood, formerly M&S corporate strategy director, is the new md commercial, overseeing trading, buying and procurement. Steve Headington has been appointed md, retail operations. Headington was most recently retail operations director for Signet, where he looked after the H Samuel chain and earlier notched up six years as a consultant at McKinsey. Chief executive David Williams remains in overall charge. He said: "We are putting together an outstanding team to implement our business plan.
