2Agriculture has appointed Ali Parker as its agricultural relationship manager, as part of its commitment to supporting independent poultry growers.
The business, which is owned by the same company as the 2 Sisters Food Group, is an independent miller that has been supplying feed to the poultry industry for the past 50 years.
Parker has joined to enhance the company’s independent grower network and will have responsibility for managing relationships with growers across the central and south west regions.
The appointment formed part of a broader programme of investment and positive change being delivered by 2Agriculture to better support its farming partners and provide long-term stability for growers, the business said.
“Our growers are a valued and integral part of our agricultural supply chain, and strengthening these relationships is fundamental to the long-term success of our business and our ultimate aim to feed the nation with high quality and sustainable food,” said Kevin Sketcher, managing director of 2Agriculture.
“Ali brings significant sector knowledge and first-hand understanding of the challenges facing poultry farmers today,” he added. “Her appointment reflects our continued commitment to building a more connected, supported and resilient independent grower community, ensuring we can work in partnership to deliver sustainable growth for the future.”
Parker has experience working for the NFU as Herefordshire county advisor and regional poultry lead for the Midlands, where she developed experience supporting farmers and representing the interests of the poultry sector.
In this new role, Parker will work with growers to ensure two-way communication and provide practical support.
She will also be looking for opportunities to start and develop relationships with new growers.
“I’m delighted to be joining 2Agriculture at such an important time for the sector,” said Parker. “Building strong relationships with growers is essential, and I look forward to working closely with our farming partners to support their businesses and ensure their voices continue to shape how we move forward together.
“Alongside investment in people, 2Agriculture continues to invest significantly in its operational footprint, helping secure long-term customer commitments while providing greater certainty and stability for poultry growers.”
