n Unilever Bestfoods is aiming to create a new sector within cooking sauces with the launch of Indian, Chinese and Moroccan recipe kits under its Knorr brand at the end of this month.
n Backed by a £10m marketing campaign, including a try me, I'm new' flash on launch packs, the kits are single boxes containing ingredients and trimmings needed to produce an authentic meal for two.
n The investment is the latest phase of the food giant's plan to transform Knorr into a top 10 power-brand by 2005.

n Red Bull, pioneer of functional energy drinks for the mass market, is bringing out a sugar-free version of its eponymous brand.
n Timed to coincide with new year health-consciousness, the launch fulfils a growing consumer need, according to the company.
n The newcomer contains aspartame and another sweetener instead of sugar, with the result that the each can has only eight calories.

n Walkers is adding a limited edition Baked Beans flavour to both its crisps and Monster Munch ranges to help raise funds for Comic Relief.
n It plans to back the newcomer with a burst of TV ads starring brand ambassador Gary Lineker. Packs are available from the beginning of next month for eight weeks.

n Premium cooking sauces brand Loyd Grossman is kicking off the new year by adding a five-strong Chinese range to its Oriental recipe sauces collection.
n Two months of TV advertising is backing the brand and features the tagline Uncompromisingly delicious'.
