AF Blakemore CEO Carol Welch has stepped down from the business.
She joined in 2023, succeeding Jerry Marwood, having previously been Odeon MD for UK & Ireland and Europe commercial officer for six years.
During her tenure at AF Blakemore, Welch oversaw the landmark deal with Appleby Westward (AWG).
Following a year of speculation, AF Blakemore announced in May it was buying 71 of AWG’s company-owned stores, alongside its associated warehouse and logistics infrastructure and related independent retailer supply agreements, giving it a major foothold in the south west.
