Soft drinks supplier AG Barr has bolstered its commercial operations with three new strategic hires.
In newly created roles reporting into chief commercial officer Dino Labbate, the Rubicon and Irn-Bru supplier has hired Clara Shand, Kieran McGrath and James Quemby.
Shand joins AG Barr from C&C Group as its new MD of hospitality and international. She spent 12 years at the Magners supplier, culminating with a role as director of strategy and planning.
McGrath has been hired to be AG Barr’s MD of digital, innovation and commercial growth, following stints at Heineken, Britvic and most recently leading pub company Stonegate.
Finally, Quemby has joined as AG Barr’s new sales director for retail. He brought “a wealth of fmcg experience” from previous roles at Britvic, Red Star Brands, and Burton’s biscuits, AG Barr said.
Commenting on the hires, Labbate said: “We have brought together a highly experienced and driven team to create a commercial powerhouse to propel our brands on to further success.
“The combined expertise allows us to harness the full potential of our incredible portfolio while fostering a collaborative, one-team approach to our commercial advantage. We are excited to leverage our collective strength to drive innovation and growth across our much-loved and enjoyed brands.”
In AG Barr’s most recent trading update – issued in March – full-year revenues to 25 January 2025 grew by 5.1% to £420m.
Labbate was hired by the supplier in January from Britvic, where he spent seven years in various sales roles at Britvic, latterly as commercial director for its hospitality channel.
