Tom Reynolds

The British Brands Group has announced the appointment of Tom Reynolds as its first chief executive officer.

Reynolds was formerly CEO of the Bathroom Association, where he helped increase its income by 50% and grew its membership.

The BBG said Reynolds, who also worked previously at the British Ceramics Confederation and in parliamentary research, was “perfectly positioned to strengthen our voice for brand owners across the UK”.

BBG is a body set up to champion brands and has spearheaded the fight against supermarket copycat products, as well as being a prominent voice over GSCOP issues.

BBG chairman Neill Craigie said: “Tom’s track record in growing membership organisations, influencing policy and delivering real outcomes is outstanding.

“His energy, creativity and belief in the power of brands to drive positive change make him the perfect choice to lead us into the future.”

Reynolds added: “It’s a huge honour to become the British Brands Group’s first CEO. I’m passionate about the value strong, trusted brands bring to society and look forward to working with members and stakeholders to ensure their role is recognised, respected and supported in the UK and beyond.”
