Chupa Chups hits the TV screen next week to promote its range of tooth-friendly, sugar-free lollipops.
The adverts will promote Cremosa, what Chupa Chups claimed is the UK’s first sugar-free lolly that does not cause tooth decay, and Cuore di Frutta, the latest lolly in the range, which contains 35% of the recommended daily amount of vitamin C for children.
The 30-second ad raises awareness of the sugar-free nature of the products and shows a young boy pestering his mother to buy him a sweet, only to be met by the standard response: “No - too much sugar will give you tooth cavities”.
However, he then draws her attention to another mother treating her child to a Chupa Chups lolly, saying: “It’s tooth-friendly because it contains a sugar substitute that doesn’t affect the mouth’s pH level”.
The ad will air from June 20 for four weeks.
