Corsodyl has expanded its toothpaste portfolio with the two-strong Corsodyl Advanced+ Intensive Gum Repair range.
The new lineup’s White & Polish and Intense Clean variants (rsp: £7.50/75ml) are designed to stop recurring bleeding gums while supporting overall gum health and strong teeth.
“Building on the clinically backed gum-care technology designed to improve gum health, the Intensive Gum Repair range is clinically proven to offer 2x greater repair of bleeding gums and help stop recurring bleeding gums,” Corsodyl said. “By removing plaque bacteria for a professional clean feel, it supports people in caring for their gum health without sacrificing freshness.”
The formulation of White & Polish and Intense Clean includes proprietary technology for enhanced cleaning and 67% sodium bicarbonate, which works at a microscopic level to help control tartar and remove stubborn plaque. White & Polish also comes with additional silica to provide gentle polishing action for whiter teeth that is gentle on enamel.
The launch came as more than half of the UK population experienced gum problems, according to Corsodyl. Many Brits actively monitored their gums, meaning there was “a clear need for a more advanced oral care range that goes beyond existing solutions to help address the root cause of recurring gum problems more effectively”.
Corsodyl Advanced+ Intensive Gum Repair comes in fully recyclable packaging – boasting a new design for the brand. It is the Corsodyl toothpaste range to be in a vertical pack, feature a carton window and boast a silver finish to underline its premium positioning.
Repair White & Polish is available now from Boots, Tesco and Waitrose, ahead of wider distribution across major retailers in coming months. Intense Clean will begin rollout in March, starting in Superdrug before expanding to Asda, Morrisons and Tesco.
“In the UK, there is a 60% rise in demand for specialised toothpaste formulations targeting gum health as more shoppers are actively seeking effective treatment options as part of their everyday routine,” said Michael Durkin, GB sales director at Corsodyl owner Haleon.
“As the number one dentist-recommended toothpaste brand for gum problems, it’s important that we continue to evolve our range with trusted, clinically proven products that meet these changing needs.”
Advanced+ Intensive Gum Repair offered retailers “a premium, differentiated addition to the gum care category, designed to encourage trade-up while delivering results that shoppers are looking for”, Durkin added.
