Fast casual restaurant chain Dave’s Hot Chicken has partnered with Uber Eats to trial a rapid delivery partnership.
The collaboration began last month and is currently only available at the brand’s Birmingham store, which opened its doors in August.
The partnership will see Dave’s Hot Chicken’s menu of chicken tenders, chicken sliders, chicken bites, sides and drinks available to order via the Uber Eats app and website.
“Reception has been amazing,” Dave’s Hot Chicken UK MD Jim Attwood told The Grocer. “Our fans are loving it and we’re looking forward to rolling it out further.”
The trial would “help to inform” the brand’s strategy, he added.
It comes as Dave’s Hot Chicken plans to open between six to seven new sites by the end of this calendar year.
This includes recently announced stores in Stevenage and Westfield White City, as well as Birmingham Resorts World and a city centre flagship site in Dublin.
The fried chicken chain made its UK debut in late 2024, when it opened on Shaftesbury Avenue in London’s West End.
It now has plans to roll out at least 60 locations in the UK and a minimum of 180 restaurants across Europe, after it signed an exclusive agreement with hospitality platform Azzurri Group last month.
Azzurri Group, which invests in businesses including Ask Italian, Zizzi and Coco di Mama, plans to develop restaurants across 10 European countries, including Portugal, Spain and Germany.
