Bestway Wholesale MD Dawood Pervez has moved to become chairman of the business, with Naser Khan, previously COO, taking over as his successor.
The wholesale giant said the appointments reflected its continued focus on strengthening leadership capability and responding to the evolving needs of independent retailers, caterers, suppliers and colleagues.
The new roles have been effective since 1 July. Pervez’s position as chairman of Bestway Wholesale is a newly created role.
Both Pervez and Khan had dedicated more than two decades of service to Bestway and brought extensive experience across wholesale, retail, trading, Finance, operations and strategic business development, Bestway Wholesale said.
“These appointments have been made on merit and reflect the board’s confidence that, under Dawood and Naser’s leadership, Bestway Wholesale will continue to grow, innovate and prosper for the benefit of future generations,” said Bestway Group chairman emeritus Anwar Pervez.

Bestway Wholesale has also announced a series of other senior leadership appointments across its trading, sales, retail and corporate functions as the business enters its new financial year and next phase of growth.
As part of these appointments, Dan Lewis has been promoted to sales director, previously director of Bestway Vans Direct and Bestpets.
He will be responsible for leading Bestway Wholesale’s national sales operation and strengthening customer engagement across independent retail and wholesale.
Zahir Fazaldin has also been recognised as property and Logistics director, previously property and transport controller, a role he has held for over 12 years.
He will be responsible for Bestway’s estate portfolio, property development, logistics strategy, sustainability and environmental efficiency.
Adina Bejenaru, previously commercial manager, has been appointed as IT director, leading Bestway’s technology strategy, digital infrastructure, cyber security, systems integration and business continuity.
