Emmi Caffè Latte Matcha has been launched to make ‘a premium matcha latte more accessible for everyday consumption’

Emmi Caffè Latte has launched a matcha ready-to-drink line into chillers.

Emmi Caffè Latte Matcha (rsp: £2.50/230ml) has been launched to make “a premium matcha latte more accessible for everyday consumption”.

It is made with premium matcha and fresh Swiss milk, delivering a “smooth, creamy taste in a convenient ready-to-drink format”.

Made with a lactose-free recipe, the line contains no artificial flavours or sweeteners.

“Consumers are increasingly looking for premium drinks that reflect the flavours they’re discovering in cafés, and matcha is one of the biggest trends we’re seeing,” said Georgia Lightbody, senior brand manager at Emmi Caffè Latte. “As shoppers become more adventurous, they’re looking beyond traditional iced coffee and embracing new flavours that still deliver on quality, convenience and great taste.”

She added that it would bring a “café-inspired experience into the chilled fixture”.

The launch forms part of the brand’s ongoing innovation strategy following the launch of Zero and High Protein variants in the past 12 months.

“The launch also reflects the continued premiumisation of the ready-to-drink category, where shoppers are increasingly willing to trade up for products that deliver café-quality taste, high-quality ingredients and exciting new flavour experiences,” said Lightbody.

It launched into Tesco on 5 October and will join the meal deal with a larger format (rsp: £3.20/370ml) from 12 October.
