The Estate Dairy is to launch of the UK’s first cottage cheese made solely with Jersey milk.
Boasting a “natural richness and creamy texture”, the cottage cheese is lightly seasoned with Pinchful sea salt, which the brand said delivered a “cleaner, more balanced flavour with 30% less sodium than standard salt”.
Each 450g serving contains 8% fat and 45g of protein, and is made using just four ingredients including live cultures.
The line will join The Estate Dairy’s range on Ocado from 4 April.
“Everything we make is about quality and flavour – and a little bit of everyday indulgence. In recent years, cottage cheese has fallen out of fashion, but its delicious curds are making a long-awaited comeback,” said Shaun Young, co-founder of The Estate Dairy.
“Our cottage cheese made from Jersey milk celebrates the best of British dairy and is delicious topped on some toast for a midday snack, added to fritters or as an ingredient in a balanced spring salad.”
The new line joins the brand’s range of products including milk, cultured butter, yoghurt and cream, made on the Cholmondeley Estate in Cheshire.
The Estate Dairy works with a small network of farms “chosen for the richness and quality of their dairy”.
