Woodward Foodservice has appointed Chris Flowers as its new operations director a week after completing a management buyout from Giant BidCo.
The company was bought for £25m by a consortium of backers including Icelandic retailer Baugur, investor Talden, Lloyds TSB Commercial Finance and Woodward’s management team.
Flowers joins Woodward from Musgrave in Ireland, where he was foodservice director, running the company’s delivered foodservice operations.
Prior to that, he spent much of his career with Brakes and was operations director for the last eight years he was there.
In his new role, Flowers will run Woodward’s depot, central and fish operations and its public cold storage business.
He will also take responsibility for managing the company’s supply chain.
