Neil Gilbert joined Geeta’s this month from Bosh

Geeta’s Foods has appointed Neil Gilbert as sales director.

Gilbert joined Geeta’s this month, bringing more than 20 years’ fmcg industry experience to the role, having worked across several “high-growth, entrepreneurial and challenger brands”.

Most recently, Gilbert was head of commercial for Bosh. He has also held senior sales and commercial roles at Fussy, Pack’d and Kiddylicious, having previously worked at Red Bull, Kimberly-Clark and Britvic.

Gilbert will be responsible for driving Geeta’s continued commercial growth, strengthening retail partnerships, and supporting the brand’s long-term ambition to reinvigorate and expand the UK Indian ambient food category.

“We are delighted to welcome Neil to Geeta’s,” said Geeta’s Foods executive director David Page.

“He brings a rare combination of experience in challenger brands and leading fmcg businesses, making him ideally placed to help accelerate our growth journey.

“Geeta’s is committed to leading the revitalisation of the Indian category through best-in-class, innovative product development that delivers outstanding value for consumers.

“This strategy has already driven nationally recognised awards and market-leading growth, and with Neil on board, we are confident this momentum will continue.”

Geeta’s has made concerted efforts to expand beyond its mango chutney heartlands in recent years.

In 2024, it added Bombay Spiced Lentils & Potatoes and Saag Aloo microwaveble pouches and a trio of seasoning mixes: Mango Masala Vegetables, Tandoori Chicken and Gunpowder Potatoes

Last year, it added Tikka and Tandoori wrap kits, plus a trio of cooking sauces: Coconut Curry Leaf (Mild); Spinach, Coriander & Mint (Medium); and Smoked Aubergine (Medium).
