Graham’s Family Dairy has launched a 0% fat variant of its cottage cheese.
The 0% line (rsp: £1.65/300g) has been launched as sales of the family’s branded cottage cheese have increased by more than 300%.
It has 18g of protein per 150g serving and 62 calories per 100g, which the brand said gave “shoppers even more choice”.
The line is being stocked in 300g tubs in Sainsbury’s and 500g tubs in Morrisons.
“Cottage cheese continues to see a real resurgence, and it’s exciting to see a whole new generation discovering it,” said managing director Robert Graham. “People are increasingly looking for foods that are naturally high in protein, made with quality ingredients and versatile enough to enjoy in different ways, and dairy delivers on all of these fronts.”
The surge in demand comes as cottage cheese experiences a comeback, “fuelled by growing interest in convenient, naturally high-protein foods and its starring role in social media recipes”, the brand said.
The launch follows an investment of £3.5m in its cottage cheese production facility in Fife to increase capacity and respond to growing demand.
