Graham’s The Family Dairy has launched a layered high-protein cottage cheese in a first for the UK market.
The range (rsp: £1.75/200g) pairs traditional cottage cheese with fruit layers, building on the family business’s existing cottage cheese portfolio.
It is available in Strawberry and Peach flavours and contains 25g of protein and fewer than 200 calories per pot.
The SKUs are available in Tesco stores now.
The launch comes as the business completed a £3.5m investment at its Glenfield site in Fife, expanding production by 50% and adding 30 local jobs.
The site investment includes an expanded open-vat, incubation and filling capacity which has “unlocked” a wider innovation pipeline for the brand.

“For a while now we’ve been planning our growth in this space – which is why we chose to invest in both our production capability and our family business,” said MD Robert Graham.
“The brand-new layered protein cottage cheese is a first for the UK market, but it’s still made using our traditional open-vat process, which gives it the texture and quality people recognise, avoiding ultra-processing.”
The business also invested five figures in refreshing its own-brand and visual identity for its traditional cottage cheese range.
“Cottage cheese has seen an extraordinary comeback, driven in no small part by social media and a renewed focus on high-protein, no-nonsense food,” said Graham. “What’s interesting is that this isn’t a short-lived craze – it’s a fundamental shift in how people are eating, and we have been working hard to meet these demands.”
