Soft drinks challenger Hip Pop has appointed Matt Bowler-Jones as its new CEO.
Bowler-Jones has joined the functional drinks brand from B2B tea and coffee supplier Finlays, where he spent three-and-a-half years, most recently as its supply chain director.
He replaces Graham Beales, who has decided to move on after a two-year stint as Hip Pop CEO.
“We’re hugely grateful to Graham for the energy, drive and ambition that he has brought to Hip Pop over the past couple of years,” said Hip Pop founder Kenny Goodman. “It’s been a monumental chapter for the business, and we wish him all the best for his next adventure.”
Bowler-Jones bought “30 years of industry experience across big-name brands such as Mars and Baxters”, said Hip Pop.
He would be charged with “expanding Hip Pop internationally and unlocking new commercial opportunities”, the supplier added.
“Matt’s vision, expertise, and passion for what we do makes him the perfect person to lead Hip Pop into its next phase of growth,” added Goodman.
Bowler-Jones said: “Joining Hip Pop at such an exciting stage of its growth feels like the perfect fit for me. In the past two years, Hip Pop has seen some incredible progression, and Graham must take great credit in delivering this success.
“The brand has established itself as vibrant, relevant, and a real force in the industry so I can’t wait to amplify this even further and drive continued growth of the business and its amazing people.”
Hip Pop’s drinks are stocked in retailers including Sainsbury’s, Morrisons, Waitrose and Co-op.
