I try not to have them too often for health reasons, but it's always nice at the weekend because I don't have to rush to work. The idea behind Scrambles  quick to cook, easy and filling, and with an English cooked breakfast on top  seemed a good one and I thought they might be a good substitute for more complicated kitchen shenanigans. The bright packaging stood out quite well and I think I would probably notice them in the supermarket freezer. They certainly fitted into my freezer OK with a bit of rearranging. The picture on the front didn't do the products justice, but then they never do. Cooking them was simple. I popped one into the oven for 20-22 minutes on gas mark 5 and hey presto! I could have microwaved them in a few minutes instead, but I was aiming for a crispier crust. The results looked appetising and I was looking forward to tasting them but I have to confess I was a bit disappointed when I cut into it and saw more base than topping. I know it says it is supposed to be a deep dish crust, but there was such a thin layer of the scrambled egg and bacon (or sausage), I could not really taste it over the doughy crust. I should add, though, that my girlfriend, who isn't really a cooked breakfast fan, thought they were OK. The twin-packs are quite good value for £1.99 but I would probably be more tempted to buy them as a single pack for about £1.00. Better still of course, I could stir myself to buy a packet of bacon and six eggs and do it myself. All in all, I think these will sell well as they are quick and look attractive. I think they will appeal to kids far more than adults, though, especially when served with some tomato ketchup. {{P&P }}
