Spanning 1,800 sq ft, the ‘boutique is designed to create ‘irresistibly unique chocolate experiences’

Lindt & Sprüngli has continued its UK store expansion, with the opening of a new “chocolate paradise” at London’s Westfield shopping centre in Stratford.

It is the Swiss chocolatier’s 28th UK store. The slated opening date of 20 March is exactly a year to the day that the retailer opened its first UK flagship store in London’s Piccadilly Lights.

Spanning 1,800 sq ft, the “boutique” is designed to create “irresistibly unique chocolate experiences”.

It will host Lindt’s Pick & Mix feature, which holds all 35 of the brand’s chocolate varieties. Meanwhile, a ‘Chocolate Bar Experience’ serving ice creams and hot chocolate will provide a hospitality offer.

A curated gifting service will allow shoppers to personalise their purchases. Members of the brand’s MyLindt Rewards scheme will also be offered 10% off their first purchase in store.

“We’re thrilled to be opening our 28th Lindt Chocolate Shop to bring the exquisite taste of Lindt to one of the nation’s major shopping destinations,” said Faythe King, Lindt retail, D2C and e-commerce director.

“Visitors can enjoy a premium chocolate paradise with a feast for all the senses and unique offerings from our exclusive Pick & Mix flavours, Lindt Chocolate Bar, and personalised gifts for that extra special touch, only available in store. Opening just in time to explore our irresistible Easter collection.”

To celebrate the opening, Lindt will offer the first 250 shoppers who make a minimum of £15 purchase goody bags containing products from its Lindor delights range.

Like other chocolate makers, Lindt has battled with record and unprecedented surges in global cocoa prices over the past year driven by climate change and tighter supply in core growing countries of Ghana and Ivory Coast.

Despite the challenge, Lindt was able to increase its operating margins in 2025. Group-wide price rises of 19% last year contributed to organic sales growth of 12.4% to CHF5.9bn (£5.5bn).
