Mars is running a 50% extra free promotion on grab packs of its fruit sugars range until the end of the year. The offer applies to 99p bags of Skittles, Starburst Original Chews, Strawberry Mix, Joosters, Factor X, Smilers and Rex the Runt Juicy gums. The added value promotion will be supported with off- shelf features across major retail outlets. Sam McElligott, Mars trade relations manager, said Mars fruit sugar had seen 16% increased growth in 2000, according to Infoscan. McElligott promised: "We continue to innovate and invest in the sugar category; as testament the Starburst portfolio now contains seven varieties.
