Monster has expanded its Juiced range with a berry-flavoured variant.
Called Monster Juiced Viking Berry, the NPD (rsp: £2.05/500ml) was inspired by “wild Nordic berries and Scandinavian fruit,” according to Monster supplier Coca-Cola Europacific Partners.
It offered “real fruit juices and exotic flavours” and a “distinctive purple berry” liquid.
The can design, featuring Viking warriors against a Scandinavian backdrop, aimed to “deliver maximum standout on shelf”, CCEP added.
Viking Berry was “flying” in the US market, CCEP said, adding it was aiming to replicate this success in the UK.
It is the first piece of NPD from Monster in 2026, with last year’s launches from the brand including Monster Ultra Fantasy Ruby Red, Monster Juiced Rio Punch and Monster Lando Norris Zero Sugar.
The Monster Juiced range – now comprising 10 flavours – was up 17.5% in value and was now worth over £342m in the UK, said CCEP, citing NIQ data.
“More than half of energy drinks’ innovation sales over the last year have come from Monster’s NPD – which has helped us grow our value sales by a massive £140m,” said Rob Yeomans, vice-president of commercial development at CCEP GB. “Shoppers can’t get enough of our flavour-packed Monster Juiced range.
”This latest launch continues our strategy of broadening energy’s appeal through exciting flavour variety, making energy drinks more relevant for more occasions, particularly with food.
“Viking Berry’s bold Nordic-inspired story and striking design makes it one of our most daring launches yet and we can’t wait to see how retailers get behind it and bring the Monster attitude and culture to life in store.”
