Ottolenghi’s range of sauces, marinades and spices will hit Sainsbury’s and Ocado this month

Ottolenghi has snagged Sainsbury’s and Ocado listings for its range of cooking sauces and spices.

The pantry range, which includes the likes of Pomegranate Harissa, Miso Pesto, Roasted Aubergine & Tomato Sauce and Shawarma Marinade, launched exclusive to Waitrose in 2024.

An initial nine sauces, spice mixes and marinades hit shelves in April 2024 and the range quickly outperformed Waitrose’s expectations, resulting in additional cooking sauces being added in October of the same year.

Ottolenghi and the retailer then expanded their partnership into ice creams in August, adding Madagascan Vanilla & Miso Salted Caramel, Roasted Pistachio & Sour Cherry Swirl, and Coffee & Cardamom.

The Ottolenghi pantry range is the brainchild of restaurateur and cookbook author Yotam Ottolenghi, working in collaboration with the Ottolenghi Test Kitchen (OTK) team.

It is live in Ocado now and will roll into 304 Sainsbury’s stores on 15 February.

The range launched in Australia, South Africa, Canada, Switzerland, Belgium, France, Germany, New Zealand, Netherlands and the UAE in 2025 with further markets planned for 2026.
