Poundland teeters on brink of collapse as administrators lined up

A notice of intention to appoint consultancy firm AlixPartners as administrator is expected to be filed with the courts at any moment, and potentially as early as today
The future of Poundland and the jobs of 12,000 staff are in grave jeopardy as insolvency experts are lined up to take charge of the discount chain following a deterioration in the relationship of its owners and management team.
