The Royal Liver Building will serve as the corporate HQ for Princes

Princes has purchased the Royal Liver Building in Liverpool as part of a £60m investment.

The deal forms part of a £83m real estate plan in the UK, with Princes also purchasing a facility in Cross Green, Leeds for £23m for Symington’s.

The Royal Liver Building will serve as the corporate headquarters for Princes. It has been a tenant of the building since 1982, and already has over 400 employees working there.

Ultimately, Princes plans to expand use of the building, so it serves as a multi-purpose venue for events, collaboration and public engagement. All operations and tenant arrangements will remain unchanged with no immediate modifications to the site.

Meanwhile, the Cross Green facility will be used as an operational base for production and warehousing by Symington’s, the food manufacturer that Princes manages and operates, as well as a venue to host corporate activities in Leeds.

According to Princes, the purchasing of both sites signals its “long-term commitment to the UK”.

The investments form part of a wider investment strategy by Princes’ parent company, NewPrinces Group (formerly Newlat), which acquired the food group for £700m last summer.

NewPrinces Group has also purchased two factories in Italy in recent months: a Santa Vittoria d’Alba site from Diageo and a Latina site from Kraft Heinz. The acquisitions are intended to drive revenue towards the group’s 2030 target of €5bn.

“These acquisitions reflect our commitment to operational excellence, sustainable growth, and creating value for all stakeholders,” said Simon Harrison, CEO of Princes.

“By securing ownership of these operationally critical sites, we are positioning Princes for long-term success.”

Angelo Mastrolia, chairman of NewPrinces Group, said: “The Royal Liver Building will not only serve as a symbol of our ambition but also as a strategic platform for expansion, innovation, and cultural engagement.”
