AB InBev has reported that its Belgian production plant has come to a complete standstill, following a fortnight of protests over job cuts.
Workers at the Stella Artois brewer’s factories in Leuven and Liege have been blocking the entrances for the past 13 days in protest over its plans to cut 263 jobs across its 2,700 Belgian workforce.
InBev Belgium has plans to hold a third round of mediation talks with unions later today.
retailers Delhaize and Carrefour said yesterday that stocks of AB InBev beers such as Stella Artois and Leffe were running low.
