Wellness challenger Rheal has made its first play in collagen, rolling out a two-strong lineup of supplement powder.
The new offer comprises Marine Collagen and Collagen Peptides (rsp: £30/303g) – available now from Rheal’s webstore.
The unflavoured variants were “designed to meet different customer goals”, said the brand. Marine Collagen is made from MSC-certified, wild-caught marine collagen to support skin hydration and elasticity, hair and nails. Collagen Peptides is made from grass-fed European bovine collagen for whole-body wellness, recovery and joint health. It is high in protein at 9.6g per daily serving.
Both provide 10,000mg of hydrolysed collagen peptides per serving, alongside added vitamin C to help the body synthesise the collagen.
“Collagen is one of the UK’s fastest-growing wellness categories, but the market has become crowded with overpriced and often under-dosed products with poor quality collagen,” Rheal said. “This launch is about bringing a more considered, transparent and quality-led approach to collagen.”
The new powders are intended to be mixed into a drink, with the promise of no clumping or aftertaste.
Collagen had “been the most requested product from our community for years”, said Charlotte Ali, Rheal co-founder. “We said no, repeatedly, because we couldn’t source it to our standard. Rather than compromise, we spent years researching the category, challenging suppliers and working to find a solution that delivered on quality, transparency and efficacy we believe our customers deserve.”
Rheal’s latest NPD follows the May launch of Pregnancy + New Mama capsules, the brands first prenatal supplement. It was developed to address common frustrations women face with other prenatal supplements, from confusing claims and poorly absorbed nutrients to unpleasant formulations. It is intended to minimise nausea and constipation, improve energy and recovery, and support development of the baby’s brain, eyes and nervous system.
In the first three months of this year, Rheal unveiled Daily Hydration and Hydration x Creatine powder sachets, a three-strong capsules range consisting of Pre + Probiotic, Night Reset and Brain+, and a major rebrand and new visual identity.
