Sainsbury's Taste the Difference Irish Cream Liqueurs - Christmas 2025

To tap into seasonal demand for Irish cream liqueurs, Sainsbury’s has added Taste the Difference SKUs in Banoffee Pie and Pistachio & Chocolate

Sainsbury’s has added over 30 new products to its own-label beer, wine and spirits offer ahead of Christmas.

The raft of innovation includes 11 new wines, nearly a dozen new spirits and RTDs, six beers and four new low & no-alcohol products. All of the new lines will be available in stores from 12 October, with some products in stores already.

The new range had been “curated to meet evolving tastes and trends as well as deliver fantastic quality, innovation and value”, said Sainsbury’s head of BWS Sophie Hogg.

In wine, Sainsbury’s was responding to “a notable resurgence” in demand for textured whites by adding products such as its Taste the Difference Discovery Patagonian Chardonnay (rsp: £17/75cl), Hogg said. Textured whites were “incredibly versatile and pair beautifully with a range of comforting, cold-weather dishes”, she added.

The new range also included “standout spirits” such as Taste the Difference Discovery XO Cognac Fine Champagne (£38.50/70cl), Hogg said.

Meanwhile, to tap into seasonal demand for Irish cream liqueurs, the retailer has added Taste the Difference Banoffee Pie and Taste the Difference Pistachio & Chocolate (rsps: both £12/70cl). The latter offered “a unique and delicious twist to the pistachio trend that’s dominated social feeds this year”, said Hogg.

In ready-to-drink, new Bucks Fizz flavours in Sparkling Rose and Rhubarb & Raspberry have been added under the Taste the Difference banner (rsps: both £4.50/75cl). There is also a bar-strength Espresso Martini cocktail (rsp: £9/50cl) and a seasonal Blackcurrant Spritz (rsp: £4.50/75c).

With low & no-alcohol sales up by 12% year on year in the retailer, Sainsbury’s has introduced a Non-Alcoholic Blackcurrant Spritz (rsp: £4/75cl) and a duo of mocktails in Mojito and Piña Colada (rsp: £1/250ml).

“There’s something to suit every preference, whether customers are hosting festive celebrations or unwinding at home,” said Hogg.
