British skincare challenger Skin:Genius has launched Oh My Wash – a 100% natural moisturising body and facewash for problem skin.
Available now from the Skin:Genius website, Oh My Wash (£19.50/200ml) is formulated to help ease the symptoms of eczema, psoriasis, and dry, itchy and sensitive skin. It features active botanical ingredients, including calendula to nourish skin and chickweed to soothe itching. It is also free from sulphates, synthetic preservatives and foaming agents, and is suitable for all ages including babies.
The organic, gently foaming product “cleanses deeply while calming irritation and restoring essential moisture to leave skin feeling soft, smooth, nourished and comfortable”, said Skin:Genius. “Meanwhile, its warm, gentle notes provide a relaxing shower experience.”
Oh My Wash came in response to traditional shower gels, which could worsen dry, flaky, itchy and irritated skin, the brand said. “Many contain ingredients that strip away natural oils that keep skin soft and hydrated, leaving it dry, tight and prone to flare-ups. In addition, fragrances, foaming agents and synthetic preservatives often found in conventional body washes can irritate already sensitive skin and trigger itching and redness.”
Skin:Genius was founded by Julia Vearncombe and Hilery Dorrian in 2015 to provide products for skin conditions such as acne, eczema and psoriasis. Its portfolio includes Best Cleanse Forever cleansing facewash, Oil Day Long reviving oil elixir and Soothe Operator calming moisturiser. Prices begin at £13.50.
