Tenzing Fiery Mango Natural Energy+ Lion's Mane

As well as lion’s mane, the NPD contains magnesium and vitamin D, along with natural caffeine extracted from green coffee

Tenzing has unveiled Natural Energy+, a new energy drink line with added functional benefits.

The first SKU in the range – called Fiery Mango Natural Energy+ Lion’s Mane – will hit Tesco stores on 9 February (rsp: £2.99/500ml). It will also be sold on Amazon, via DTC and to independents through wholesale.

Natural Energy+ Lion’s Mane combined “ingredients that support focus and mental clarity with nutrients that help sustain everyday energy”, according to Tenzing.

As well as lion’s mane, it contains magnesium and vitamin D along with natural caffeine extracted from green coffee.

Natural Energy+ had been “created to meet growing consumer demand for targeted, functional benefits”, Tenzing said. A second variant will join its lineup in April.

“This launch marks the next stage of our growth, as we expand the role energy can play in people’s daily lives,” said Tenzing founder Huib van Bockel. “The next generation demands more from their energy drinks. They don’t want a short burst that leaves them feeling worse later, they want energy that supports how they feel, perform and live.

“Adding powerful functional ingredients like lion’s mane allows us to offer more targeted benefits, without compromising on what energy should be.”

The NPD comes as new data from Worldpanel by Numerator demonstrated functional drinks’ growing appeal.

In the four weeks to 25 January 2026, functional drinks were bought by 11% of households, with spending up 13% compared with the same period last year, Worldpanel said.

“In a month when consumers typically look to rein in spending, it is notable how many are still willing to pay a premium for wellness, with functional drinks costing nearly four times as much as typical soft drinks at £4.69 per litre,” said Fraser McKevitt, head of retail and consumer Insight at Worldpanel.
