Tesco has announced a new loyalty card tie up with the electric vehicle charging network Be.EV.

It means Clubcard members can now collect points when they charge their electric vehicles at more than 680 Be.EV sites across the UK.

Motorists who link their Tesco Clubcard to the Be.EV charging app will earn a Clubcard point for every £1 they spend at any Be.EV vehicle charger across the UK.

Established in Greater Manchester in 2019, Be.EV now operates more than 2,500 charging bays across more than 680 sites nationwide, placing it among the top 10 largest UK networks by rapid and ultra-rapid charging bays.

Tesco also has Be.EV rapid chargers at a number of Tesco Express sites.

“We are always looking for new ways for Clubcard members to be able to collect Clubcard points and are delighted to announce our new partnership with Be.EV, allowing Clubcard members to collect points when they charge their vehicles at thousands of charging bays across the UK,” said Tesco Group membership & loyalty director Shama Wilson.

“With more and more Tesco shoppers opting for electric vehicles, we are sure that many of our customers will be excited by this latest addition to Clubcard.”

Be.EV CEO Asif Ghafoor added: “This is about making the switch to electric genuinely worth it. Drivers are already charging on these journeys, but now every charge means they can collect Clubcard points which they can spend on their weekly shop or a day out.

“Pairing reliable ultra-rapid charging with a reward people actually value is how you make EV ownership feel effortless.”

Clubcard points collected with Be.EV can be converted into Clubcard vouchers to be used for money off shopping at Tesco or with more than 100 Clubcard Reward Partners.
