Vinarchy EMEA regional managing director Amanda Almond has stepped down less than a year after joining the Australian wine giant.
Almond had decided to leave Vinarchy in order to “take some time with her family”, the Echo Falls brand owner said in a statement.
In the interim, Vinarchy CEO Danny Celoni will take on executive leadership responsibility for the EMEA region.
“I’d like to thank Amanda for her contribution to Vinarchy over the past year,” Celoni said. “She leaves the EMEA business in a very strong position. With great momentum behind our commercial plans, an exciting innovation agenda and strong customer partnerships, the EMEA regional leadership team is very well positioned to continue delivering the Vinarchy growth strategy and our mission to redefine wine.
“A search is now underway for a successor, and we are committed to ensuring a smooth transition for our customers and team.”
Almond joined Vinarchy last September, replacing then EMEA MD Derek Nicol.
Before joining the business, she headed up Bacardí’s operations in northern Europe, Iberia, Greece, the UK and Ireland.
Prior to joining Bacardí in 2013, Almond worked in senior leadership roles at PepsiCo and Lindt.
Vinarchy was formed in 2025, following the merger of Accolade Wines and Pernod Ricard’s strategic international wine arm.
It is one of the largest suppliers of wine globally, and its brands include Hardys, Jam Shed, Echo Falls, Jacob’s Creek, Brancott Estate and Mud House.
