Wellness challenger Rheal has unveiled Pregnancy + New Mama, its first prenatal supplement.
The product (rsp: £30/60 capsules) is the brainchild of Rheal co-founder Charlotte Ali, after she struggled to find a suitable pregnancy supplement while she was expecting. Developed to address common frustrations women face with prenatal supplements – from confusing claims and poorly absorbed nutrients to unpleasant formulations – Pregnancy + New Mama would “bring greater trust, transparency and education to the category”, said Rheal.
Pregnancy + New Mama combined “clean, bioavailable ingredients including active folate algae-based DHA, methylated B vitamins, choline and iron bisglycinate, to support both mum and baby before and after birth”, the brand added.
The formulation is designed to minimise nausea and constipation, improve energy and recovery, and support development of the baby’s brain, eyes and nervous system. Rheal recommends two capsules daily from until least months post-birth, or in accordance with advise from a professional health adviser.
“I was pregnant, exhausted and standing in the supplement aisle reading labels I didn’t trust,” Ali said. “So, I made the one I wished I could have bought. I didn’t just struggle to find a prenatal, I struggled to trust what I was seeing. Even the ones recommended to me didn’t feel right.”
Pregnancy + New Mama comes in a busy year for Rheal, which in January moved into hydration sachets with a range targeted at “exhausted” women. Daily Hydration and Hydration x Creatine (in Lemon & Lime and Raspberry) contain 1,800mg of natural electrolytes, 500mg of sodium, magnesium and vitamins C, D and K2.
The following month, Rheal entered the vitamins, supplements & minerals category with a three-strong range of capsules. It comprises Pre + Probiotic for gut balance and digestive wellbeing, Night Reset to aid calm, recovery and sleep support, and Brain+ for cognitive support.
The launch was followed in March by a major rebrand and new visual identity. It was accompanied by the addition of two variants in its Clean Greens powder, Pineapple and Berry, and two in its Balance Tonic offer, Cycle and Menopause.
“Rheal started as a personal journey to rebuild my health using real, natural ingredients. As we’ve grown, we’ve remained committed to simplifying wellness and making it more transparent and accessible,” Ali said at the time.
“This rebrand is about clearly communicating who we are today and helping more people feel the benefits of natural nutrition in their daily lives.”
