Nisa seeks directors

Nisa-Today's is looking for two independent non-executive directors to join its Holdings Board to improve the buying group's corporate governance. Non-executive chairman Edwin Booth is currently drafting a job specification for the roles and once these have been approved the recruitment process will begin.

Warren joins Uniq

Chilled foods group Uniq has appointed John Warren as a non-executive director. The former group finance director of United Biscuits and WH Smith took up the role on 16 March. He replaces Margaret Young, who will stand down on 17 May after holding the post for eight years.

FSA adds to board

The FSA has appointed Tim Bennett and Nancy Robson to its board. Bennett is a former president of the National Farmers Union and was recently appointed as chairman of the new milk sector company of Levy Board UK. He has been appointed to the FSA board for three years, while Robson, who was previously chair of the FSA consumer committee, has been appointed for two years.

SMP appointment

Point of purchase providers SMP Group has recruited Neil Johnson as business unit director. Johnson's role is to help retailers maximise results from in-store signage. He joins from in-store marketing company Bezier, where he was business development director for two and a half years.

New role at Rustler

Jonathan Tole has been promoted to the new position of site director at Rustler Produce. The company is part of Produce World and supplies garlic, shallots, leeks and onions. Tole is responsible for technical issues, procurement and operations and reports to Jason Burgess, MD of the Produce World vegetable division.
