TV presenter Ben Fogle – already a figurehead for Typhoo tea and Barefoot Wines’ Beach Rescue project – has become the first human face of Lego.

He is supporting the brand’s latest range, Forest Police, through a social media campaign encouraging fans to share images of their Lego creations.

The company said it selected Fogle because of his “inspiring adventures and expeditions around the world”, making him the first personality to represent the toy brand in the UK.

From Monday, parents can use a Facebook application to upload images of their childrens’ Lego builds. All entrants will be in with a chance of winning a daily prize of Forest Police goodies, and a grand prize of a weekend away at the Legoland Discovery Centre in Manchester with Fogle.

“The Forest Police range is a fantastic set that immerses children into the outdoor world and involves heroes we find in everyday life,” said Fogle.

This move will be supported with a media push targeted at mums.
