Wrights launched the service in Stoke-on-Trent, the location of its 16 stores

Wrights Food Group has launched a 45-minute home delivery service using the takeaway ordering website and app Foodhub.

A range including breakfast baps, pies and pasties can be ordered on the app for delivery by Wrights’ own vehicle fleet. The minimum order is £10 with an added £1.50 delivery charge.

The food manufacturer and retailer, which has its factory in Crewe, has launched the service in Stoke-on-Trent, the location of its 16 stores.

It is available initially in the city’s ST6 postcode area, with the orders dispatched from the Burslem branch.

The firm’s chairman and CEO Peter Wright said it would “particularly appeal to the elderly and housebound”.

“Increasingly our customers are leading busier lives, which means they are looking for the added convenience which comes with ordering our food through an app and having it delivered to their doorstep,” he added.
