Richard Greenhalgh has announced his retirement as chairman of farmer-owned co-op First Milk. He will depart at the agm on 29 October. Last week The Grocer reported that Robert Shearlaw had quit as vice chairman.

SalesOut, which analyses wholesale data, has created two new positions as a result of rapid expansion. Rodger Seaman has been appointed senior account manager and Kelly Petts account manager.

Alexandre Ricard, executive chairman of Irish Distillers, has been appointed to the board of its parent company Pernod Ricard. Part of the Ricard family, Alexandre Ricard joined the group in 2003. He was appointed finance and administration director of Irish Distillers in 2004 and MD of Pernod Ricard Asia Duty Free in 2006. 

Supply chain solution provider Wesupply has appointed Keith Deane as CEO. He was previously president of Europe, Middle East and Africa at software company Infor.

Marks & Spencer executive chairman Sir Stuart Rose is to launch the Work Inspiration campaign on behalf of Business in the Community on Tuesday. Sir Stuart, chair of the body, will call on businesses to offer work experience to school pupils.

Jorge Sandoval Fernández, research director of the Costa Rican banana producers' association Corbana, has been appointed president of the Plantain & Banana Research & Development Network for Latin America & the Caribbean.

Petfood supplier Pets Choice has appointed John Walgate MD in a management restructure. He replaces Tony Raeburn who becomes chief executive. 

The UK Cleaning Products Industry Association has appointed Philip Malpass director general. He takes over from Andy Williams who is retiring. Malpass was previously vice president communications for Constellation Europe.
