Abby Talbot is the new non-edible groceries buyer at Booths. She joins the chain from Daniels Group where she was a NAM, and will look after all laundry, homecare, toiletries, medicines and petfood.

Dr Tom Pickerell has been named director of the Shellfish Association of Great Britain. Dr Pickerell is currently the shellfish development manager at SAGB, project managing the Shellfish Industry Development Strategy. He replaces Dr Peter Hunt, who retires in the summer.

Matthew Servini has joined Bowman's Ingredients as technical director. He was previously head of NPD at Cargill Flavor Systems and has also worked for UB as innovations manager.

Peggy Bruzelius has joined the board of directors at Diageo. Bruzelius, chairman of Lancelot Asset Management in Sweden, will become a member of the audit committee, nomination committee and remuneration committee.

NFU president Peter Kendall has been re-elected vice president of the EU farmers' organisation Copa. Padraig Walshe, president of the Irish Farmers' Association, has been ­elected president.

Andrew Mallison, a former marine technologist for M&S, has joined the Marine Stewardship Council as standards and licensing director.

Jo Causon has been appointed CEO of the Institute of Customer Service. She joins from the Chartered Management Institute, where she was director of marketing and corporate affairs, and succeeds David Parsons, who has retired.

Kate Hovers, a consultant vet, and Katie Palmer, a community and business food project expert, have been reappointed to the independent Welsh Food Advisory Committee.

Scottish salmon farm Loch Duart has named Mark Woods as Sutherland director and Alan Anderson as Hebrides director.
