Craig O’Connor has been named the new managing director of Blakemore Wholesale.
O’Connor, who joined this week, will be responsible for AF Blakemore’s C&C operation and will report to Sam Wilcox, who will continue in his role as overall MD for the wholesale divisions.
He joins from DB Ramsden where he was also MD, but previously worked for AF Blakemore between 1984 and 2003 in a variety of roles.
“While AF Blakemore now has the scale it remains a family business with strong values, and we are perfectly placed to seize the opportunities that are out there,” he said. “I now want to share my experiences over the past few years, especially in relation to delivered wholesale, on-trade and the utilisation of IT solutions to help improve the overall customer experience.”
Wilcox added: “Craig has a proven track record with a strong reputation across the wholesale C&C sector for introducing innovative approaches.”
