What was your first-ever job? Not the most glamorous, but my first job was in a fish & chip shop in my local town. Perks included bringing leftovers to parties and becoming a momentary hero.
What’s been your worst job interview? I honestly don’t think I’ve ever had a bad job interview! (Smug face!)
What was the first music single you bought? Will Young – Friday’s Child (no regrets).
How do you describe your job to your mates? I tell people I’m head of all things brand and creative, making wine in a can totally a thing. When they find out that means spending most of the summer attending festivals or sitting around thinking of memes, people aren’t always happy that I even call it a job. Nothing a can of rosé can’t fix though.
What’s the most rewarding part of your job? Working alongside co-founders Lucy Wright and Jeremy May to bring a brand to the UK wine market, which has been crying out for change since the Spice Girls were a thing.
What’s the least rewarding part? The hangovers.
What’s your motto in life? Pet every dog you see.
What’s your nickname? Ezza.
If you were allowed one dream perk what would it be? I wouldn’t mind a puppy playpen.
What’s your favourite movie? Split. This movie started my obsession with psychological thrillers.
What’s been the most embarrassing moment in your life? So, I was midway through a dance performance at the age of seven in front of a huge crowd. We’re all dressed as Jessie from Toy Story, hats and all. At the end of the performance we all took our hats off and put them back on, but I put mine on back to front and my sewn-in ponytail was completely covering my face. Everyone seemed to find it hilarious, but I’ve been scarred for life.
Any phobias? My phobia is holes in things. Official name ‘trypophobia’. Sorry to anyone who searches and also develops the fear.
If you could pick a celebrity to join your staff who would it be? I’d have to pick Rebel Wilson, because she’s an absolute laugh a minute.
What luxury would you have on a desert island? Hot sauce, always.
