Tesco has appointed Alain Guilpain as category manager for wine.

Guilpain, who starts on Monday, will replace Claire Lorains, who was recently promoted to category director for Tesco healthcare.

Most recently, Guilpain was trading director for non-food grocery for Tesco in the Czech and Slovak Republics.

“Alain’s broad commercial experience will bring valued skills to the wine team,” said Tesco BWS category director Dan Jago.
