Billy O'Regan, managing director of Northern Foods subsidiary Green Isle Food Group, is to replace David Baines as group executive of Northern Foods' grocery business when Baines retires in May.
O'Regan will oversee Northern Foods' Irish operations frozen food manufacturer Green Isle and Batchelor's plus UK frozen food business Dalepak.
Green Isle commercial director Kieran Carolan has been promoted to replace O'Regan. He will take direct charge of Green Isle brands including Goodfella's pizza, Donegal Catch and Green Isle.
Northern's chief executive Jo Stewart will oversee the biscuit businesses Fox's and Elkes along with Fox's Confectionery and Smiths Flour Mills when Baines, who had looked after them, retires.
O'Regan said: "Kieran has extensive experience of the Irish and UK retail markets and frozen foods. He has the drive and enthusiasm necessary for the role of managing director and is well-placed to lead Green Isle's development."
Carolan joined Green Isle in 1994, holding several senior posts covering logistics, commercial and general management. He was involved in the development and UK launch of the Goodfella's pizza brand in 1995. He said: "I am delighted to take up this opportunity in one of the most exciting, challenging, periods in food manufacturing."
