Reckitt Benckiser UK sales manager Adam Rodgers has been promoted to general manager of the Nordic division after helping turn around the UK business.

Rodgers had brought a fresh approach to customer relationships and delivered sustainable results, said RB. The UK division was recording negative compound annual growth when Rodgers joined from RB US in 2012, and is now in strong growth.

“This promotion is testament to Adam’s contribution to the success of the UK business,” said Reckitt Benckiser. Rodgers said the success of the UK division was a result of changing how it had engaged with the trade. “We now try to work on partnership opportunities rather than simply trading.”

Rodgers, who takes up his new role on 1 November, is being replaced in the UK by David Rankine, a 13-year veteran of RB who has been with the UK division for 18 months and is currently VP of trade marketing for healthcare.

Rodgers will be based in Copenhagen and will be responsible for the company’s activity in Sweden, Finland, Norway, Denmark and Iceland

Rankine said he was “tremendously excited” to be getting back to an operational role. “I am particularly excited by be working with our trade partners, and looking forward to helping develop some of the great young talent we have in the business,” he added.
